The Sukkot Answer:

Just two weeks ago, I began the update to the Sukkot Answer from 2012.
Here we are now as we have just finished the Feast of Tabernacles. I still can give the revelation, just a little later than real time.

Here we are now in 2026, stepping into the time of the Fall Feasts and as The Feast of Tabernacles approaches, also known as Sukkot, it seemed like a good time to catch up on the last entry about a Sukkot. “Finally, The Sukkot Answer.”
Well now, that Sukkot of 2012 has long come and gone. As was written in that blog entry, we had been seeking the answer of why the tent had to come down. Of why we were to spend this set apart time of Sukkot with just the two of us on the land. For a number of years, we had celebrated the Commanded Feasts of Yahuah with many whom we had invited. Why would we HE change things now?

Change things HE did indeed do. As was told, the tent had been taken down in July of that year. All the contents were dispersed and stored where we could find the room. (that in and of itself was a huge undertaking) We were then left with all of the thoughts and reasons of the why’s. As the previous states, we did get an answer of what we believed why and what we were to do. And we did indeed get that “non-electric” piano. Funny enough, the day of the beginning of Sukkot. I say funny, but getting it was truly not. It was an old upright converted player piano, very heavy and the two of us loaded it and unloaded it all by ourselves. A story all by itself. And for another day.

We learned so much that first Sukkot: First was how quickly we are used to just flipping light switches everywhere we go: Walk into a room, flip the switch, etc. Second, was just how used to noise we are as we sleep. We normally sleep with a fan for noise, and that first year we didn’t have any battery operated anything, besides flashlights, to accommodate that. Talk about being uncomfortable and being out of your comfort zone, oh boy. It can be amazing how much for granted we take things, anything, when we don’t have them.

Along those lines, even worship was SO different. Being used to powered devices for worshipping and not having that option available made for quite the adjustment. However, with that being said, the reality is that not having what WE were used to made worship so much more intimate and special. No extras needed, no sound check, no wires coming undone… just our voices, a piano, a flute, an acoustic guitar and the Father. And most importantly, no timeline. That year, with it just being the two of us here, our set apart times for worship and fellowshipping with the Father were on our timeline. Not anybody else’s. No other expectations. We were actually learning in this as we went and perhaps that is exactly what the Father wanted for us.

There is so much that others learning and participating in with learning of the Feasts that is tradition. We believe the Father doesn’t want what is tradition but truth.

We are still learning….

The years in between 2012 and now have taught us so much. Come back as we remember…

This year, 2026, as we begin the Feast of Tabernacles, we continue to be encouraged to always be learning. Letting HIM speak to our hearts and draw us closer to HIM!
